Black Mountain Farm believes that healthy nutrient dense food starts with healthy soil. On Black Mountain Farm food production happens in an ecosystem, which includes both plants and animals. Microbes mine nutrients from the soil; plants use those nutrients to produce biomass (think both grass and tomatoes); animals feed on that biomass and provide nutrients back to the soil.
